Artist statement: Fractals are everywhere. They govern the way energy behaves. The work presented is meant to display the Fibonacci Sequence in a way that plays with the structure of nature. The way trees, rivers and electricity behaves takes the form of whats called the Lichtenberg model. The work presented plays with this idea of energy.

Personal statement:

Daniel Benjamin Cooke is a senior Glass Blower in the School of Art and Design at Alfred University. He is from Massachusetts however, despite the stereotype, can drive very well. His interest in fractals stemmed from a lifetime of wandering the woods as a boy scout.
