Post Present

Students at the School of Art and Design, Sculpture Dimensional Studies present, Post Present, a halfway point exhibition of this very important year for all of them. These talented students will be showing their works of art in a historic former post office building in downtown Hornell, New York. An opening reception with refreshments and snacks will be sponsored by St. Ann’s Academy from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, December 6th.  The show will be open from 12-5pm until Tuesday, December 10th.

The title of the show, Post Present, describes this exhibition as a jumping off point as well as practice leading up to the senior and master thesis shows in May 2014.  There will be two second year graduate students and eighteen senior students presenting their work in Post Present. This exhibition will consist of unique, conceptual works of art that include an array of different materials ranging from ice sculptures to video projections. Other works of art will be composed of forest matter, glass, metal, wood, fabric, clay, and printmaking. Not only will there be numerous installations consisting of these materials, students have also made extra work to sell during this exhibition. We welcome the public and encourage anyone and everyone to come down and enjoy an evening of fine art created by hard working practicing artists from Alfred University.
